Adventures of a Drama Teacher

{August 9, 2008}   And We’re Off!

5,4,3,2,1 and we’re off!!! School starts Monday and I am still frantically running around getting things done for my classroom and Mo’s. Mo will be taking guitar, keyboard, Spanish and computer tech at his new school (Learning Fountains School for the Performing Arts). I am excited about all the music and Spanish. I have been working on the mandatory teacher website for Mesa Public Schools and this site is linked so I will also link back to the site. Eventually the Theatre Club page will be built and today I will add course guidelines to 5th and 6th hour. (My stuff for that is at school). In the meantime I am off to the races to see if I can make it down the list of TO-Dos for today. See you all on Monday! Oh and the staff at RMHS is fantastic! I am going to love working with Mr. J and I really like the principal too. 🙂

Hooray! Wow, Mo has a lot on his plate. Have a good weekend!

Casey E. says:

We can’t wait to see you Monday! We are so happy to have you back. Good luck getting everything ready this weekend! Mo should have fun with those classes, they sound like fun.

Beth H. says:

Good Luck on your first week! School doesn’t start here until Sept. 2 so we are still in Summer mode. I just visited Emma at sleepaway camp last weekend and got to see her dress rehearsal for the musical she’s in. They are doing an abbreviated version of “Into the Woods” and she is Cinderella’s Prince (it’s an all girls camp). She sang he solo/duet “Agony” and I was very impressed by her singing and acting and the other kids too. That’s not easy music. Mo’s school sounds very interesting!
